In 2011, the population of Asians, including those of more than one race, living in the United States was estimated at 18.2 million. More than 40% of Philadelphia’s immigrant population considers itself Asian. While many Asian Americans benefit from good health, they are also disproportionately affected by a number of health issues and risk factors, including smoking and tobacco use.
HPC’s multilingual health education staff provides education and translation services in the following Asian languages/dialects: Cantonese, Mandarin, Fuzhounese, Vietnamese and Korean.
